This light-filled 6,500-square-foot home is a vibrant expression of California coastal living, elevated with European elegance and rich, personal detail. The client, rooted in a Manhattan Beach sensibility, envisioned a space that traded rustic for refined: open, colorful, and elegantly sophisticated.

Inside, layers of robin’s-egg blue paneling, chevron wood floors, hand-selected wallpapers, and warm copper accents reflect the client’s love of expressive texture and saturated color. A custom La Cornue range in “Provence Blue” became the soul of the kitchen, and its French charm set the tone for a home that feels at once collected and deeply personal.

“Graceful architecture, a soothing landscape, and sensuous interiors combine to create the perfect environment for entertaining and celebration.”
— Rush Jenkins, as quoted in our book Natural Elegance

Romantic and sun-warmed, each space invites a moment of pause – spirited, serene, and filled with personal meaning. There’s a sense of openness and softness in the way light and texture play together that feels both coastal and composed.
