The architecture channeled 19th-century working barns for the design of this new 2,400-square-foot build in Wilson, WY. It features a collectors’ garage, workout space, and an upper floor guest suite with rustic-luxe details.

A sitting area elevates the open-plan gym space, and includes a flurry-of-butterflies art installation by Paul Villinski cascading into the rafters.

This 1,000-square-foot cottage nestled into the landscape of Jackson Hole, WY, offers a historic interpretation of a new-build guesthouse featuring reclaimed wood inspired by a salvaged turn-of-the-century log cabin. The result, as House Beautiful wrote, is a “true nature lover’s dream—and an apt representation of WRJ’s ability to integrate a home’s design into its surroundings.”

With contemporary furnishings in tactile, organic materials with a deep connection to nature, the guest cottage rests peacefully in its bucolic setting overlooking sprawling fields and a sparkling stream.

This total revamp of a two-story, 2,000-square-foot stone and timber cottage, originally built in 1952, is located just blocks from downtown Jackson, WY. Designed as a cozy guest retreat, it features white tongue-and-groove shiplap on walls and ceiling that lighten and brighten, and an 1892 European trophy mount over the mantel that commands attention and inspires conversation.

“A lesson in insightful curation” with “too many stunning pieces to pick a true stand-out,” wrote House Beautiful of the charming cottage that feels “straight out of a fairytale.”
